well, recentlly ive been feeling this way towards the arab world, if u travel around the arab countries from east to west , u will pass by people who are so ignorant and far away from civilzation, offcourse there are many who are not ignorant , but the majority are . take the gulf countries for example, if only oil was not there! you would find these people living in tents and riding camals, and of course reading the most popular and only book in the arab world (QURAAN) , civilizations must pass through different Eras and long stages of wars, conflicts ,rebellions, periods of dictatorship and democracy and lots of contradictions in order to form a culture that identifies the civilization and it’s complex societym while all the gulf countries transferred from zero to what they are now witin a very fast period of time and that is because of the OIL!!!! that's why these countries have no culture no means of civilization , they are still ignorant MUSLIMS living in huge buildings and have fantasy cars, but the mentality of these people is still the same, they are not too far from being animals ( their minds are busy with the holy QURAN and ...mmm sex pretty mcuh)....
lets talk about the arab countries in africa, egypt, tunisia moroco, algeria,and Libia. well these countries are making their way to civilization but they are taking their time, why to rush and hurry!!! egypt population is about 77 million (for the moment ..) 76 million of them are below the poverty line and offcoure the one million left are living like KINGS!........Libya is a country ruled by a stupid Kathafi who has been the president for 38 years!, ...Tunis,morocoo ,Algeria are the places where you find no democracy or freedom, with an extremly high rate of unemplyment...

I've lived with Shiite's for over 30 years, in an American city. They can be so very stupid (not in academic sense). Just plain selfish, stupid in so many ways. I've seen it, witnessed it countless times. But, not all are, just the majority it seems (even those with university degrees can be so..thick, self centered).
It was their upbringing from childhood, from their parents, and their parents' parents. Similar reason why a black persons sounds British, when raised in England. Same black person sounds "ghetto" when raised in Compton. Upbringing. Values, ideals from childhood. Your surroundings from early on though adulthood, hard to break habits, impressed on you.
Main issue I have..LEARN TO FUCKING DRIVE with respect of others. Unbelievable! Such bad habits, practiced in middle eastern culture of driving a car! After being in Egypt, I saw such fucked up things respective to driving. Then Arabs come to America and expect to behave in that manner. Another thing is that "Ninja" look. OK, it's part of the culture. But here, in America..it's way out of place. Drawing attention to one's self. But can they dress in shirt, jeans..religion says..no? Or is it the husband who says no, or both? Then, they want to take a photograph of themselves in that outfit for an ID with nothing but eyes showing (ID for driver's license or passport) crying it's discrimination if you make me remove it! Ahhh...no. It's the fucking law here, need to see your face. Don't like it..don't come here to America!
After all, were all mutts here in America. All different cultures from different countries. Seldom do you see native American Indians here anymore. You don't see people from Scotland living here, wearing their skirts, kilts! They may speak their language, but keep the skirts off. Why? It's not part of the culture of their new home, THEY choose to live in.
If during Ramadan Arabs wanted to dress here as if in the old country, well by golly why not. But, to do so every day because of values from their old country (due to religion or male supremacy or..?) then that's fucked up. Korean's have a very chauvinistic value and it seems many Asian cultures do. I was in Busan, Korea in 2004. They told me..the man is number 1. The son, number 2. The daughter number 3. The wife, last. I said..wow...unbelievable. I then said, to me, the wife is number 1, because she brings life to you and creates a child for you to be able to have a family..AND, if she's angry with you or you treat her bad, she won't "put out". They just laughed.
When I worked a few weeks in Egypt (Heliopolis) in an auto plant there, the people were very friendly to me (my attempt to fit in..trying to speak their language, not just speaking English). Nice people. We got along very well, worked well together as equals. No evidence of "stupidity". So different than what some may think or say about Arabs. Truly not enough time spent their to see if the selfishness or
narcissistic ways of the Shiite's I grew up and still live with, compare to the Egyptians. Another year went by, I returned again for a few weeks there.
During that second trip there, a guy working in the plant had to be removed, never to return. The government choose to do this because his beard was too long. He was around 20 years old. I asked other workers there why did this happen? It was due to the government not wanting him to have a long beard, because he may be an Islamic Terrorist. wow.. It was said his brother had "issues" along those lines..so he too is
targeted as having "issues"? Others there that too had long beards had similar confrontations with the government until they cleared it up (after questioning by the government) and were able to keep the long beard.
When I was in Egypt, that second trip, those guys were trying to "teach" me some basics of the Qurrann. Like the one about every thing balances out. Example:

Just an example on how easily I can become angry now. Justifiably angry about such a silly thing. Do I need religion to aid me? This post should be changed to "Arabs are Ignorant and Arrogant People in general- almost always in the Gulf-Khalij" Before someone states I dont know what I am talking about, I lived there for several years, and this is the opinion I formed from experience dealing with Arabs in a variety of capacities.
Actually, before I arrived, I had a much higher opinioin and respect due to the "PC" conditioning back in the US. I want to leave religion and Quran out of this and just focus solely on the behaviors of many people in the Gulf region today. It seems the place has fallen into the times of jahiliyya for the most part.
Most of the people are in denial regarding their own actions or ("lack of action" when it comes to working). Somehow the are able to rationalize their behaviors in their minds without seeing their truly hypocritcal and diabolical ways. Someone in the mental profession should study this effect.
The most egregious behaviors are 1) the lack of respect for fellow muslim hindi worker or other ex-pat who slaves away from car wash to maid to construction worker with little pay to keep most of these countries running. It is an abosulte disdainful treatment of the human dignity and soul. If you found slavery in American South to be unethical and harsh; then the same is currently going on in the Gulf. We should boycott all oil produced there and find other means until the Arabs change their ways. Buying their oil is our selfishness.
2 ) Sexual harassment of women is out of control. Men are always on the prowl. There are so many hookers in Dubai (whose customers are mainly Arabs) that Las Vegas seems like a G movie. I stayed in the Crowne Plaza recently and the lobby was swarming with these ladies until the wee hours of the night. Many phone numbers get left in car doors. Many people meet in secret.
It is total joke when Arabs claim they are modest (I mean in mind and deeds). They have extreem pressure to project modesty on the outside, but the reality of their action is completely different. This does not apply to all-there are some very religious straight people-mutawah like- but it is increasingly rare. Not sure why they think Westerns cannot or do not discern the Arabs munafik (hypocritical) ways.
Basically most Arab girls just sit around at home most of the time until marriage in the Gulf compared to other parts of the world. It is really true. They say they clothing is to respct and value women for more than a sexual being- but in marriage the most important factors are the virginity and fertility of the girl not her mind, personality...This goes to the opposite of the rational for the clothing. In my opinion, the women are not meeting their potential in contributions they could be making to the society or world based upon societies fear of sexuality. This is a real shame. (I don't believe the men are either for other reasons.)
3) The Arab (Khalij) people tend to be extreemly arrogant and do not accept criticizm well. This is their real downfall; the lack of self-reflection and correction is really holding them back from progress. Sometimes they forget the truth is shameful in itself.
Arabs forget almost everything Arabs enjoy (cars, mobile phones...)besides the luban and bahoor or in the last 1000 years or so was invented somewhere else in a different civilization than theirs. I challenge any of them to name 3 famous things invented by an Arab that contributed to the world in the last 500 years- noone has ever answered sucessfully. But, if you talk about the West it is easy to name 3 things. There you have it.
There is a lot left to be desired in the Gulf and from the Khaliji people and as soon as they get off their high horse and realize this, the faster they will move forward as a society.
